I went there with my daughter today and had a great time.. There was a Christmas parade with santa Claus .. and the lady let me and my daughter ride the motorized animals for free for like 45min which was extremely nice. I think it was bc of the parade but still she didn’t have to do that but she did and we had an amazing time
Bishop Park
This is a great place to go for a walk, run, or bike. It also has a great play area for kiddos.
North Oconee River Park (East)
Me and my dog Lulu go walking every day and really enjoy walking this path, fantastic job done on this trail. Many thanks for offering this area to the public.
Sandy Creek Nature Center
I always love this place!! I updated this review to include pictures of the playground, near the ACC Leisure Services building. There is even a public restroom, which is a rare thing at parks these days!
University 16 Cinemas
Went to see a movie in their GTX theater. It was a great experience for the price. Very very spacious between the rows, just wish the seats leaned a little further back with all that extra space. Very clean environment and overall nice atmosphere. It didn’t have old musty theater (popcorn) smell 👍. Would definitely go there again!!

Your Pie Pizza
I LOVE this place!! Get exactly what you want. The first time there I got the linage, it was great but too greasy for me because of all the meat and cheese. The second time I got parmesan cheese and veggies and I think it was the best pizza I’ve ever ate. Super friendly staff as well and both times there Mike at the register and oven was entertaining with his antics. Will def go back and wish I could buy a franchise and put one of these in Asheville NC!
Johnny’s New York Style Pizza
Best Restaurant on east side! Definitely my go to place in Athens/Oconee, for Italian. Everything here has been so delicious, but currently addicted to their chicken parmigiana. You cannot beat the prices, either! The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. The waitstaff is so friendly- I love the server that has cute short, blonde hair, and glasses!
Make sure to tip the servers/cooks (on to go orders too!!!), they all work so hard!
T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods
Really nice location with a wide variety of clothing items, houseware items, childrens toy items and more. This location was clean with a comfortable atmosphere. The employees on the floor didn’t greet while they walked by or while they were restocking etc. the cashier however was very friendly. I think if you’re an employee, which is a representation of the company you should at a minimum say hello to customers as you walk by.

After visiting Walmart ( aka The Empty Shelves store) we left empty handed and proceeded over to Target where we found everything we needed. I’m asking myself why patronize Walmart when Target is your one stop shop.
All of the shelves were well stocked with plenty of choices in each item. The store was clean. The checkout lines were long but they moved quickly.
Showtime Bowling Center
This is a nice place to go for local entertainment or a simple date night. My grandson had his birthday party here. It was great. The staff was nice and everyone had an excellent time.

Last Resort Grill
The food and service was OUTSTANDING! Definitely going on my favorite local restaurants. Everything was well prepared and perfectly seasoned. The service was so good I didn’t want to leave. I especially love the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I’ll have to try their whole menu now.
The Foundry
I had never been to this location before, but it was awesome. I love historic buildings and this venue was beautiful. I would like to try the full menu of food as it looked really good. I would recommend passing on food if they say consessions food only. The actually stage and venue is really cool and offers a dynamic seating area.
Georgia Theatre
Fantastic place to see live music. The rooftop is awesome. Great bar, cool breezes, great place to see a band with the night sky as a backdrop.
Rosy’s Bakery
Best Tres Leche cake I’ve EVER had. I had this cake at a WEDDING this past weekend. I made sure to ask the bride where she got it from, complete with owners name and address! I was serious about this cake! Cannot wait for every occasion to have an excuse to order it! I had vanilla tres leche with small pieces of fruit in it.
Lyndon House Arts Center
A great place to see wonderful artists such as the world-famous Abner Cope and works by the creator of the art piece ‘Come Onto Me’ – Yvonne Studevan. From the entrance area where Harold Rittenberry has a wonderful metal art installation, to major shows featuring art by Vernon Thornsberry – The Lyndon House is a ‘must visit’ when in Georgia!

Have loved this place for years. Shady, quiet, and free zoo. Next to a lovely lake and community athletic facility. Pool open seasonally.Dont miss the lively antics of the river otters-sure to make you smile!
Georgia Museum of Art
Pretty cool they had a 3d printer there and some small prints you can take home. Nice sized museum completely this is definitely 5 star. Staff was nice and helpful and the place was clean.
Rush Athens Trampoline Park
My grandson loves coming here. Staff is always friendly and it’s affordable. They even have massage chairs for those us that want something relaxing to do. Could use an upgrade in vending though.
Earth Fare
My mom and I love Earth Fare and we have been coming here for years. You can grind your own nut butter (peanut and almond) and it has a lot of organic and vegan options.
Trappeze Pub
Man, I love to eat my way across Athens. I visit often but had never been to Trappeze and I’m so glad I tried it out on this last visit.
The food is modern Southern and they do it well. They have an awesome cocktail menu and Belgian beer selection and the environment is airy and open with plenty of room for big parties or smaller groups to dine together. Our portions were substantial – we had plenty for lunch and leftovers for dinner!
We had to eat in a hurry because of an event we were attending later that day, but I’d love to come back when I have more time to sample more of the menu and the drinks!
The Juicy Crab Athens
This was our first time to the Juicy Crab and it will definitely not be the last. We started off with the calamari which was lightly breaded and fresh out of the kitchen.
My wife and I both had the seafood boil. One with sausage and shrimp the other with shrimp and crab legs. OMG these were really good and filling.
I’m so glad that we have another great restaurant to add to our rotation.

Porterhouse Grill
First time here and everything was delicious. We got the surf and turf, fried oysters and a ceasar salad. Very nice restaurant and our waiter was awesome. We will definitely be back. Also they get busy so I would highly recommend calling ahead and reserving a table.
The National
The atmosphere was lovely and the service was delightful. Our server made helpful suggestions and recommendations as well. We were able to enjoy a lovely evening for our anniversary. The food was delicious and they were very attentive to my food allergies. I made the reservation through Resy and it was so easy and they were ready for us as soon as we arrived. The staff consistently wished us a happy anniversary and it was so sweet. We will definitely be coming back for a future date night!

South Kitchen + Bar
Listen, we had to call the manager over to complain about how AMAZING the food is here, and why there isn’t an Atlanta location, but it’s definitely worth the trip to Athens. We started with some pretty good drinks, and ordered the Georgia hot fries skillet appetizer. I promise, they should bottle up whatever they use to season the yucca fries. There are so crispy, salty and sweet…perfectly balanced. I was so invested in these fries that I didn’t put them down when my entree arrived…but I was in for yet another surprise…the best shrimp and grits on the planet. And I don’t say that loosely. I mean, the shrimp are great, but they’re not the star. They start with perfect creamy grits, top it with some of the best collard greens I’ve had in the south (and I’m a black southern chick) that’s vinegary and seasoned well, and THEN slathers on gravy and sausage that I would eat on ANYTHING! I was in food heaven! My husband loved my dish so much that he ordered one for himself to go. He had the salmon dish that had creamed corn and it was beyond impressive. The service here is great, and parking was pretty convenient on a Tuesday night. We’re definitely traveling back here for a visit.

We’d loved Mama’s Boy! The food was all great and the service was top notch. We were checked on very often and always had refills. The biscuits are a must try and the jelly is delicious. I would recommend getting there before 9am if you don’t want a wait as this place is popular!
Waffle House
If you get mad at these great employees it’s just because they are overwhelmed in bar central on a Crazy Party night. I’ve been in here 3 times late at night. 2 times it was CRAZY and they were all working their butts off. Nice people from my experience. Tonight it’s slow and they are so kind and attentive. Food rating is good, just the same as all other Waffle Houses I’ve been to.

This is the best thrift store in Murphy. It was clean, reasonably priced, well organized and had a good selection. I found a pair of plus-sized jeans for myself. They were easy to find because clothes are organized by size and type. I also found a good selection of kitchen ware.

I had a set of tires installed and the service was awesome. They were ready when I arrived and went to work. I was also surprised by how nice the seating was in the waiting area. It was a pleasant appointment.

We always enjoy shopping here. Great selection of merchandise. Lots of purses and suitcases and shoes. Not the biggest selection of household, but what is available is set up nicely. Baskets of all sizes. Pillows. Kitchenware. Good bit of kids items, clothes, toys, and room decor. Baby clothes and blankets too. Lots of shopping to do and fitting rooms out to the right side. Their is no attendant to have to ask can you get access the room to try on clothes. Plenty of parking. And associates are super helpful. You get points for your purchases and coupons. Bathrooms available also. Any questions just ask 🙂 If you like my review, give a thumbs up please.

Stopped to do laundry after visiting family and on my way to visit another friend and found this little shop. They have some larger sizes which is a huge factor for me(I typically wear a 16)! The girl was extremely helpful and super friendly! Found some super cute AND COMFY lacey tops to drive in for longer road trips. Anytime I’m in this area I will always check out this little store now.

Parson’s Pub
This is our new favorite Irish Pub, the food and the service were great. The corned beef and cabbage and the fish and chips were excellent. All their fried food is cooked in a convection oven instead of a deep fryer, so I was able enjoy my favorites without all the fat. They have a great beer selection, including a lot of local breweries, and our server was really helpful in making our selections.

Highlander Gallery
We could spend all day in the Highlander Gallery! We do have our favorite artists and the prints that hang on our walls, but they are always adding new artists in a variety of mediums and unique styles. Who doesn’t want to bring the beauty of our natural surroundings and the spirit of the Appalachian mountains into their homes? Great space and location, right in downtown historic Brasstown NC. Its definitely on the “must stop in list” for all of our family and friends that visit us here in the mountains.

Clay County Historical & Arts Museum
Visiting a time long forgotten…we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our host was very knowledgeable and shared much information that we were not aware of. A lot of time and effort has been put forth for preservation and it shows. Make sure you stop by when your in town, this is by no means a day trip, just a beautiful addition to add to your trip through town.
History Center
This is the museum of the school. It describes the history with examples of early work and pictures. Changing exhibits depending on who is teaching. Great place to stop for inspiration.
Cherokee Historical Museum
Staff was very friendly, very helpful and accommodating for photos/videos inside. They do have an elevator available for disabled/handicap visitors.

Peachtree Produce
Just go. Very nice. You can buy individual items or in bulk. Cantaloupe and strawberries have been out of this world! Ladies are very helpful.
Valley River Brewery
The pizza was great, as was the cider and guess pumpkin beer. We enjoyed sampling their beers with the flight, and the Greek salad with gyro meat was really good too. The prices were fair ($6 for a flight of 4 samples, $5.50 for pint of cider) and the waitress was friendly and helpful.
The Mason Bar
Very cute place that has just opened and is working on their menu and wine selection. Full bar as well. Live music 4 nights a week! Definitely excited to see this addition to the Murphy downtown. We ordered a Charcuterie board which came in a mason jar and was the cutest. Support this local business, they are doing a good job and I’m sure it will just keep getting better!
ShoeBooties Cafe
I’m not from this area so I had never heard of this place. The restaurant is well kept. It’s not a huge place but nice and cozy. It seems a little dated but in a good way. When it was time for a refill of my tea they brought out a carafe which was a nice touch.
Captain D’s
Captain D’s is always good! We like to take my Parents here, it’s their favorite! The food is always fresh and good. The fish and the fries are crispy. The slaw is great! All the other vegetables are good too. This restaurant is nice and clean. The employees are friendly.

The staff was so friendly!! The food was not too bad either(: I just wasn’t the biggest fan of the salad, the flatbread was good! Also they accommodated for a vegan diet which was sweet (:

The food was fantastic. My mother is very picky and I’ve never seen her that happy with a meal. Her steak was wonderful and I had the mushroom and asparagus pasta and it was delicious. We also had the Brussels appetizer. Portion was big and it was excellent! Waiter was also extremely nice. Will definitely return!

Big Nick’s is a real treasure chest for good old-fashioned BBQ.The meat (smoked turkey, pulled pork and brisket) was to die for. Different dipping sauces: sweet and spicy, vinegar-based and dijon mustard-based.

It has an abundance of things and usually decent prices for items. They even do orders and bring out to you in your cars and load them for you. Not always the friendliest but for the most part the day time employees are pretty decent acting and moderately friendly

The Zoo Groovy Metal Yard Art
There is so much more to see than you realize from the road view. There is an extensive collection of unique outdoor yard art. In addition there is indoor devotions available with rustic charm. This is a hidden jewel to visit. The owner/operator is very nice and friendly making this a great experience! Plus there is a small playground by the creek for the kids!

Austin and Nathan were awesome guides. Super accommodating, friendly and fun park! Went with a big group and had a blast!
ROE. Raw Oyster Bar & Steak
My experience here was INCREDIBLE!!! Best seafood in Blue Ridge, in my opinion! It was my first time trying oysters and I learned that I love them. Will eat here again!
Black Sheep Restaurant
Finally, a restaurant that presents itself as high-end dining and actually lives up to it, something we’ve had a hard time finding in the Fannin, Union, and Towns County area. I called for reservations for our party of six and we were seated near the bar area at the front of the restaurant. They were able to turn down the music so my hard-of-hearing dad could participate in the conversation. Abby was a wonderful server and was very attentive but never hovering. We were celebrating our friend’s birthday and I had baked a special cake. The kitchen cut slices for everyone and Abby brought them out. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. This is definitely going to be a restaurant that we come back to visit.

Always a pleasant experience watching movies at this theater. Cozy yet spacious, modern and chic, very clean, friendly staff; fairly quick service & comfortable seats. Food options are great and so far everything we’ve ordered has been tasty! Not to mention that there’s also a full bar and ample seating areas in the lobby. I highly recommend.
Reunion Resort Water Park
We stayed at this resort for our family vacation and the property is just beautiful and all the people were so friendly. I enjoyed a morning walk everyday on the golf cart path. The sunrise was beautiful and the kids enjoyed the water park and all that the resort had to offer. Our home we stayed in was gorgeous and the entire vacation was very relaxing and it was exactly what my family and I needed at the time.

What a wonderful evening! I enjoyed a beautiful Central Florida sunset overlooking the resort golf course, Disney World fireworks in the distance, live music, and a nice sampling several delicious and flavorful tapas tonight at the rooftop restaurant in Reunion called “Eleven!” Met, JR, the general manager, who was very nice and all the staff that we came in contact with, were all professional and very attentive! The atmosphere was the best! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
7593 Chophouse
This was our first experience at this restaurant and I am overly pleased with It. From the beginning to the end this was an awesome experience. Tiffany greeted us when we arrived and helped us when we left! The food was exquisite. The steak was so tender and easy to cut and chew. The Brooke was also soooo good. Raquel did an excellent job serving along with all the staff who helped. Our cups were never empty and i promise if you make a reservation and eat here you will not be disappointed. I don’t even like steak but this one made me change my mind.

Atmosphere: Nice and clean, for those who get cold I would definitely bring a sweater. The volume is moderate.
Service: Went during the weekday but does get busy on the weekends and mornings. Highly recommend downloading their app since you can join the waitlist for any location. Hostess and server were excellent, food came out fairly quickly.
Food: I ordered the Chickichanga which was absolutely delicious, enjoyed every minute of it. My wife ordered the elevated egg sandwich which was great as well. We also ordered 1 chocolate chip pancake to share and it was yummy, you won’t regret it.
Drinks: Two words, iced coffee, I love it here, I even took one to go, so if you love iced coffees, you’ll love this one.
Verdict: You can’t go wrong with this place, although it does get busy, it’s busy for a reason. I will always enjoy this place regardless of the location so give it a try!

Visited today (5-11-19) to pick up some house hold items and groceries.Store was well stocked, and clean. It is well lit. Staff was helpful and sped up the shopping process. I did not see any sketchy characters lurking about.
I would certainly go there again if the opportunity arises. Visited again today, (7-7-19 ) and picked up some Vidalia onions.

When.in town for a visit we went bowling
The facility was large and had a large game area. There were pool tables as well.
Food and snacks were available.
The gentleman that helped us was very friendly and helpful.
The facilities and equipment were older and a bit worn, but still serviceable. It had a family friendly environment.
It reminded me of the bowling alley in the small town where I grew up.
I hope that this business survived the coronavirus shutdowns.
I would certainly stop here again if I am ever in Vidalia.
Steeplechase Grill
I was pleasantly surprised, reviews had been mixed, didn’t know what to expect. They do have a sign that let’s you know that they are understaffed and to please be patient. But the food was great. I ordered the sushimi platter. It was so good and really reasonable. Double the amount of Ahi Tuna that I get at other restaurants with pickled ginger and wasabi. Also garlic green beans and salad bar. Will go again and again.
Bill’s Donuts & Bake Shop
My parents just moved to town in December 2022 and we had donuts from here several times a week when I came down to visit. Ahhh-mazing! Cannot wait to visit again this spring and have another sugar fever dream of donuts!
Vidalia Onion Museum
What a fun visit! Small but packed with interesting historical tidbits, memorabilia and even a fun room for kids. Carson was super friendly and knew a ton about the local area. Highly recommend!
Tree House
Seated us about 15 minutes after getting there on a crowded night. Waitress was very friendly. Offered suggestions on drinks and food and explained items on the menu to us. Food was hot and fresh when we got it. We chose the bang bang shrimp plate and the prime rib dinner. Prices were reasonable and comparable to other restaurants serving similar food. We will definitely be back!
Downtown Bistro
Clean & quiet with a comfortable atmosphere and relaxing music, this place is very welcoming. The menu is simple but the food is delicious. I had the Tuscan sandwich paired with the potato soup and both were delicious. Would highly recommend this place for nice lunch.
S’Moore Coffee Shop
This little place is a GEM! Now I will admit I am clearly biased as it is named, coincidentally, with my first initial and last name but I did go, tested and approve! Coffee is great and so are the people! And the space is warm and inviting in spite of the adjacent two lane road!
